About the Author: The author has had extensive experience of consulting across a number of fields, and she has been both an internal and an external consultant, and an employer of both! Unusually, Anna's career spans several disciplines - HR, Marketing and IT Services Management, which eventually led her into General Management as a Director in an IT company in the finance sector. Before that, she had worked in the engineering, consumer products and IT industries. She has employed numerous consultants in all these fields as external suppliers, and has worked with many internal consultants. She has also worked herself as an external HR consultant, and as an internal Marketing consultant. In her role as IT Services Director, she ran a division which included 150 software consultants (all permanent employees), so she really has approached the subject from every angle!
