Yes, it really has been 10 years since Lesley Gosling started Q. Learning in 1997 with Mike Cheeseman and Karen Cove. To celebrate and to mark this special anniversary we invited friends, clients and employees for an evening cruise aboard the Golden Flame taking in the fantastic sights of London on the River Thames.
As well as enjoying the sights including Tower Bridge, London Eye, Big Ben, guests enjoyed a barbecue, music from the Ollie Western Jazz Quartet, and finishing with an amazing magic and psychological show from Jamie Raven. Also on board was the cartoonist Kev Sutherland, illustrator of the Bash Street Kids in the Beano, who drew caricatures of everyone to take home.
Near the end of the evening, Q. Learning ‘Awards’ were given out to clients for their achievements in the six areas of our Leadership Model. One of the awards was given to Roy Templeman from Chester-Le-Street District Council who has been a ‘Transformer’ in turning the Council round from ‘Poor’ to ‘Good’ in its CPA rating.
Lesley was delighted with the party, “It was a superb way of celebrating our 10 years and it was great that so many people could join us. A big ‘thank you’ to all of our friends who came and celebrated with us.”
We’ve produced a new DVD to celebrate our ‘10 years of Leading Learning’ which includes some footage from the party. If you would like to receive a copy, please e-mail michaela@qlearning.com
